Tomato 'San Marzano' Plants
Tomato 'San Marzano' Plants
Our best selling tomato plant every year. 'San Marzano' is an heirloom prized for it's medium to large fruits that have firm pulp perfect for making sauce. These tomatoes are always consistent yielders with as many as 5 fruits per cluster. The plants have always had clean foliage in our trials. The only issue we have had is blossom end rot and checking your calcium levels prior to planting will eliminate this problem. The taste is slightly sweet with a low acidic balance. Some refer to the taste as bittersweet.
