Phlox paniculata 'Jeana'
Phlox paniculata 'Jeana'
Phlox 'Jeana' is the acclaimed perennial plant of the year for 2024! We actually purchased the plants last summer (2023), before its selection as perennial plant of the year, due to the high score within the Mt. Cuba center trials. The Mount Cuba center trial found this variety to be less susceptible to mildew or virtually mildew-free, the best phlox for attracting butterflies, and a heavy bloomer. 'Jeana' was found growing nearby the Harpeth River, near Nashville, Tennessee and named after it's founder Jeana Prewitt. A great add to the back of the border, bringing color to woodsides, and for mass plantings to create a naturalized look.
