Phlox paniculata Candy Store® 'Coral Creme Drop

Phlox Candy Store®'Coral Creme Drop' is another tasty introduction to the perennial phlox market.  These well-branched plants are short statured and stand upright nicely.  Unlike other phlox 'Coral Creme Drop' has dark stems and buds to accent the delcious blooms and foliage.  The sweetly scented blooms are adorned with butterflies and the occasional hummingbird throughout the entire summer.  The Candy Store® series is known for great powdery mildew tolerance and this one is no exception.  Though, not as tolerant as some others in the series it doesn't succumb to the mildew like older types of phlox.  A great choice for the middle to back of border where their upright stature is a great backbone.

Fertilizer: Apply an application of compost or a granular fertlizer in early spring.  Stay low on nitrogen and a bit heavier on potassium for best results.  If growth is slow, after planting feed with a liquid growth formula every two weeks in first season to boost growth; fish emulsion works well.
Water: Keep soil evenly moist but not heavily statured at all times.  Water during dry periods.
