Peppermint plants are one of the most widely used plants in the mint family and is primarily used to season candy and desserts. The sprawling plants have deep green leaves, and tubular white flowers that are borne in mid to late summer. This perennial is invasive in the ground but can be grown in containers to prevent this issue. They can also be grown as a houseplant during the winter months for fresh tea and seasoning.
