Mustard 'Giant Red' Plants

Giant red mustard is a beautiful, yet practical, garden plant that offers nourishment and ornamental qualities to the garden.  These tasty greens have a slight bite finishing with a smooth mustard taste. The large reddish purple leaves are high in vitamins a A, K, and C; with moderate amounts of dietary fiber and folate.  A hardy annual.

When to plant: Spring and fall; ideal temperature range 39°F-75°F.  Bolting occurs during high heat.
Fertilizer:  Apply an all purpose fertilizer at planting.  We prefer organic for better soil health.  Fertilize weekly with fish emulsion or a nitrogen rich liquid fertilizer.
