Somewhere between a buttercrunch and a romaine, ‘Winter Density’, has characteristics of both plants. A popular early spring, late fall, or winter crop; as it can handle temperatures in the lower twenties while still being productive. A very smooth tasting lettuce that is tastier when exposed to lower temperatures or refrigerated before use.
