Eragrostis spectabilis (Purple Love Grass) Plants
Purple love grass, is a US native grass that produces reddish purple spikelets in late summer when many perennials are done blooming for the year. The blooming heads remain attractive until early winter. The leaves turn a brilliant yellow in late fall before dying off for the year. A great choice for the mixed border, mass plantings, the border edge, and even containers.

Hardiness Zones: 5-9
Fertilizer: If using compost apply an 1" at planting time and side dress annually in late fall or early spring. If using a granular fertilizer, we recommend organic formulations, apply an all-purpose formula in early spring annually. It is only recommended to use liquid fertilizers when the growth is slow, and this is not normally needed.
