Eggplant 'Imperial Black Beauty' Plants

Imperial Black Beauty is the standard for eggplants in the US and is highly disease resistant.  They flourish in the humid south but will still grow nicely in the northern US.  This deep purple eggplant has a vigorous habit with abundant fruits being produced.   They are best picked at a small to medium size but will get large if left to grow.   A great choice for eggplant parmesan, fried eggplant, or stuffed eggplant.  These will grow nicely in containers 10" or larger.

Fertilizer: Apply an all-purpose fertilizer at planting.  Side dress after two months of growth.  We prefer organic formulations for better soil health.  Fertilize weekly with an all-purpose liquid fertilizer if growth is slow in the garden or if growing in containers.
Water:  Keep evenly moist for best results.  1" per week.
Container Gardening:  Use 10" pot(s) or bigger, well-draining potting mix
Pests: Flea beetles, stink bugs, blister beetles
