Dahlia 'Bahama Mama'
Dahlia 'Bahama Mama'
Like a glowing sunset in bloom, Bahama Mama, couples a double bloom with rich pink hues and yellow centers. The large, 6" blooms are consistently pumped out from July through frost (mid-October here). These are primarily grown as cutflowers and will benefit from being staked, as they can get up to 48" tall. Though, they still can have their place within the landscape in the mid to back border. They would also be beautiful as stand-alone specimen plantings by doorways and stairs where onlookers can marvel at their blooms. Another option is grow them within the vegetable garden to attract pollinators to your veggies. A fun plant to grow.
