Asclepsias syriaca (Common Milkweed)
Asclepsias syriaca (Common Milkweed)
Asclepsias syriaca, or common milkweed, is a fun edition to the garden setting. These towering plants produce beautiful umbels, full of pink blooms, in early summer that persist until the end of August. The umbels give way to attractive seed pods in the fall. A choice food for monarch caterpillars and our stand exploded with them this year. Also a great food source for hummingbirds, bees, wasps, and other pollinators. Plant small groupings in the back of the border, naturalize in a meadow setting, or plant a long formal drift. We ship 1-2 year old bare root stock. US Native Plant. Planting Instructions Included.
