Spring Shipping Spring shipping for most plants is after the last expected frost date for your area. If you would like plants earlier or later specify in the order form comment box, otherwise we will not ship until the last suspected frost date for your area. We will notify you on exact ship dates by e-mail. The only exceptions to the above shipping schedule is onion, leek, cole crops, and dormant perennial plants. These plants can ship anytime within the given schedule dates above.
|
Summer and Fall Shipping Summer and Fall shipping of plants is normally done shortly after the order is placed(unless otherwise stated under the individual plant description or if we halt shipping due to weather related conditions). We also notify by e-mail the exact shipping date and when you should expect delivery.
|
Weather Extremes That Halt Shipping Due to the extreme sensitivity of plant material we will not ship plants when temperatures along the shipping route drop below 32 degrees(45 degrees for annuals and warm season vegetable plants) and when temperatures rise above 95 degrees. This prevents plants from getting stressed in shipment, and therefore means healthier plants upon delivery.

Packaging of Plants All plants that are in containers (which is the majority of them), will be rubber banded with wood fibers or like material in order to keep the soil intact. Plants are then nestled into their shipping boxes using recycled peanuts as void fill(see potted perennial plants)

Shipping Your Plants All plants that are sold from Streambank Gardens are healthy established plants, that should have no trouble making the trip. The vast root systems within their containers will insure that the plants reach your area and flourish beautifully in your garden. Plants are shipped Monday - Wednesday to insure they make it to their destination before the weekend.

Arrival of Plants When your plants arrive unpack them as soon as you can. After unpacking plants check soil for moisture, and if dry water. Then acclimatise the plants to your area by setting them in a partially shade location for a few days before transplanting them into the garden. This helps the plant(s) get used to different climatic changes between our area and your area without putting a lot of stress on them.

Returns All returns are accepted fourteen days after shipment arrival date on all plants. No questions asked. We will gladly refund in the form of another plant, a credit to Streambank Gardens, or a monetary reimbursement(business check).
|
Damaged Shipments In the event you receive a damaged shipment please contact us within the first couple days of arrival, so we have enough time to resolve the damages with the carrier. In these rare cases we reimburse our customers with another shipment, a full credit to Streambank Gardens, or a total refund of order. We cannot accept damaged shipment complaints 12 days or more after actual arrival date.
