Linaria (Toadflax) Plants
Genus containing some 100 species of annuals, biennials, and herbaceous perennials.  Found
widely spread throughout temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere, especially in sunny
habitats with dry conditions.  Our linaria plant offerings are herbaceous perennials that offer a
bounty of blooms to the perennial garden.
Linaria (Toadflax) Growing Tips
  • Plant in a well-drained soil that has been enriched with organic matter or already has an
    adequate amount of organic matter.
  • Add compost to the planting hole to feed a growing plant and to encourage an even soil
  • Before planting make sure the pH of your soil is within a 5.5-7.0 for optimum growth
    and flowering.
  • Linaria plants enjoy full sun, but will tolerate partial shade.
  • Mulch plants to moderate soil temperatures and to aid in moisture conservation.
