The echinacea genus contains at least nine species of bold perennials, with tough structures.  Native to dry praires,
hillsides, and open woodlands ranging in Eastern and Central North America.

- Erect perennial with red-tinted stems with rough to hairy deep green leaves up to 6" long.  Bears
5" flowers from mid-summer to autumn.  Up to 5' tall with an 18" spread.  Native to Central and Eastern United States.

Growing Tips
Plant in well-drained soil that has a pH range of 6.0 - 7.5, and a nice amount of organic matter.  Spread compost around
plants in fall or fertilizer every two weeks with an all purpose fertilizer throughout the growing season.
