Genus of 15 species of rosette perennials.  These species accompany grassland and woodland glades.  The oval to
spoon-shaped leaves give way to solitary flowers in white, pink, or reddish pink.  The most popular daisy in this genus
is B. perenis or the English Daisy for its top performing cultivars

Growing Tips:
Bellis species prefer well-drained soils rich in organic matter that are located in full sun or partial shade.  Provide winter
mulch in colder areas of hardiness zones 4 - 7.   Pinching blooms controls extensive self-seeding and elongates the
blooming season.  In southern climates plant in partial shade and in northern gardens give these beauties full sun.
Compost annually in fall for magnificent displays from late winter until late summer.
