mountainous areas in Europe, Northern Africa, Turkey, and the Pacific coast.

Growing Tips
Plant in a well-drained soil that has been enriched with organic matter.  Armeria, prefers a sand based soil, but will
perform ideally in well-drained clays that have been incorporated with light organic matter.  
Armeria is rarely bothered by pests; with aphids and spider mites being the most likely bugs to use this plant as a host.

Armeria makes a long lasting cut flower that adds cylindrical beauty to floral arrangements.  As a garden plant, armeria,
