Digitalis parviflora is a clump forming perennial that produces dense racemes of dark orange-brown flowers, in early summer. These plants reach two feet in height and are up twelve inches across. This species is a native to Northern Spain.
Digitalis purpurea is a rosette forming biennial or short lived perennial. Long mid to deep green leaves are hairy, lax, lance-shaped, and up to 10" in length. The foliage gives way to the tall spikes of pink, purple, or white flowers up to 2.5" long in early summer. Native to southwest and west central Europe.
